To be fair, anon, when I'm writing on Word or whatever, if you input a dash followed by a space and then a word/character, it lengthens the dash.

If nothing succeeds it, it keeps the dash shorter. Try it for yourself.

I don't believe 8ch does it, but if Q drops are written on another program (Such as Word) first and then transferred over, you've got your answer.
