Hey Anons, I wish this idea would go viral, at least here on this board.
Voting integrity. First, proper id.
Second, the machines.
The voting machine assigns a unique, anonymous number to each voter. When the voter completes his/her vote, the machine generates two receipts with that voter's anonymous number and voting record. The voter takes one receipt home and the other receipt is dropped into a locked ballot box. The machine also drops that vote into a simple spreadsheet that is publicly sourced. When the voter gets home, he/she can find the matching unique, anonymous number to confirm the proper vote. And further, voters view and confirm the tally of votes for that precinct. Those precinct results are dumped into the State system. Again, these tallies at the state level should be publicly sourced so that the public can validate results. We're talking the simplest spreadsheet program. No brainer.
For ballots sent through the mail, same thing: A unique number appears on each one which can then be validated in a publicly sourced spreadsheet.
So simple.
