Internal Celebration

The day is mainly celebrated by personnel, veterans, or other people related to the Marine Corps. Usually, it is marked with a Marine Corps Birthday Ball with a formal dinner, birthday cake, and entertainment. The first ball was held in 1925.

Revolutionary Result

The US Marine Corps started as the Continental Marines on November 10, 1775. On that date, the Second Continental Congress decided that they needed 2 battalions of Marines to serve as landing forces with the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783).

After the war, the Continental Navy was dismantled, and as a consequence the Marines as well. However, after increasing conflict with revolutionary France, the Marine Corps was formally re-established.

Why Aren’t Liberals Calling for the Removal of the Senator Robert Byrd Statue?

f you needed any more proof that the current chaos surrounding the tearing down of statues and defacing of landmarks is nothing more than political posturing, here it is.

With the tearing down of confederate statues, removal of confederate flags, and the destruction of anything from America’s past that is controversial or downright deplorable, one statue has managed to escape scrutiny from protesters.

It involves a U.S. Senator from West Virginia. A prominent, highly successful member of the Democrat party. And a mentor to the woman who almost became President of the United States.

He also happens to be a former card-carrying member of the KKK. In fact, he created his own chapter along with 150 of his friends and colleagues.

Where is the outrage and destruction of this statue?

Hillary’s Racist Past Resurfaces…Meet Her KKK Mentor!

While Hillary Clinton has been running around calling Donald Trump a racist, the Democratic presidential nominee seems to be forgetting her praise for longtime KKK member and Democratic Senator Robert Byrd.

Byrd, who Clinton considers her mentor, has a long and racist past, but no one in the media seems to care that Clinton adores him, and instead prefers to attack Trump.

n 2010, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton fondly eulogized Sen. Robert Byrd, a former member and recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan. Clinton called Byrd “my friend and mentor” in a video message to commemorate his passing.

As a young man in West Virginia, Byrd was involved in the KKK and reportedly recruited 150 members to the group. While serving in Congress, Byrd set the record for longest filibuster on the floor of the U.S. Senate with a 14-hour filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
