I have always wondered: if there was a national disaster - say a huge earthquake or flood, what would happen to the population? In a matter of hours all the grocery store shelves will be emptied, gas stations would run out of gas, water, electricity, internet, etc. would be disrupted. How long can the average person survive? what would we do for food? Most people do not grow their own food, we are not allowed to have domesticated animals in our backyard which we could use for their eggs or milk. Some city ordinances do not allow people to disconnect their homes from the grid and there are even a few states that do not allow harvesting rainwater! All of this together has turned humans into domesticated animals who are not able to fend for themselves. All we know is how to get our food from grocery store shelves and buy services from others. Why do you think we are bred to be so helpless?
