The All Seeing Eye was adopted into Illuminati/Masonic iconography AFTER being used on the obverse of the US seal. It was previously used occasionally to symbolize God and the holy trinity by Christians. The assertion of the symbology going the other way is (((them))) puffing themselves up.
There were indeed Masons on the committee to design the seal. But their ideas were not what was adopted.
