I'm a long time software developer so I know how to make the stuff that they call AI. Sure, sometimes it takes a lot of work, a lot of tweaking, studying, figuring out what algorithms to use. But at the end of the day, I know where the intelligence is, because it is in my head. I did all the heavy lifting and the neural network or annealing or whatever algorithms I implemented are just crunching the data faster than me. That is moron level intelligence, working at dumb repetitive tasks without slowing down. I think the folks who ask for the budget money just say AI because it loosens the purse strings of IMBECILE managers. And you would not believe how wasteful it is to use Amazon computation services instead of our own data center. We figured out that as long as the cost is relatively stable, management hasn't a clue how much we are wasting. Amazon is laughing all the way to the bank.
