I was tracking MAGMA89 heading north near Cartagena Colombia It dropped off the screen about the same time.
Can't be certain but it looks like it was probably a bird strike that took out the missing blade. Causing damage and loss of the cowl. Head on shot shows damage to blades on the left of the picture but the blades on the right look OK. To me this seems the most logical answer.
