Plenty of resources for this.
Local coin shop is good place however most of those wholesale whatever they take in and rarely have much on hand. It is different from store to store.
Do not buy from Ebay, Amzn etc. Asking to be ripped off and pay large premiums to do it.
Try these for a larger big box supplier
JM Bullion, Kitco..do a search and many should come up.
The other issue is premiumsโฆI have never paid more than 3%, refuse to. That is not the case going forward.
As demand increases the supply drops..and this is important as starting in 2009 when the prices rose you had a situation where it was several weeks, up to 6, for delivery. This put the bullion houses on the back foot which made them extend delivery times.
Works ok if the price goes up and you just sit and wait for the delivery. Not so good when the prices were dropping in 2011. Still had same supply/demand dynamic with the extended delivery times. If you bought after the smackdown you were waiting for an already depreciated asset by the time it reached you.
