It's amazing how distinctive the 1980s were with TV, movies, music, fashion, electronics, and the everyday lifestyle. Those who love it (including myself) tend to love it with a passion. You hardly ever see people looking back at the 1970s or 1990s that way.
My grandmother was forever a Democrat voter as, "The Republicans caused the Great Depression." She lived through it in her late teens, and she remained a faithful D voter until she passed away 15 years ago. Even though she still voted for him, she didn't like Al Gore and she thought that John F'in Kerry was a "phony."
I can only imagine how she would have thought of Hussein as a candidate back in 2008. He would have really clashed with her beliefs.
>The north end of the county has tried unsuccessfully to secede in recent years. It's tired of shouldering the tax burden for the south end.
Nobody living in northern Fulton gets any sympathy for being pissed about tax dollars going to ATL. It's been that way forever, yet people still voluntarily move into that part of the county. There's a good reason why people are instead flocking to southern Forsythe (just north of Fulton) instead of choosing Fulton County.
The same is true for the idiots in Stockbridge trying to form their own city of Eagles Landing. Stockbridge has been corrupt for the longest time, yet people with lots of money still chose to move to that area, and then complain about their tax dollars not going to their local area.
