For the most part, Ph.D is an excuse to be arrogant and condescending (in my experience.)

Some are great, but I think specialization has led to tunnel vision.

Everything built on assumptions. History of science tells me that 200 years from now people will laugh at what we believed but be impressed by what we knew with what we had at the time.

I like to think from the perspective of a person looking back on us 200 years later.

CERN didn't find the Higg's Boson with 6-sigma probability. They found a "particle" in the mass range they expected the Higgs Boson to be in. Then radio silence. I think they're trying to figure out what the other hundred million particles are that they didn't expect to find.

They're blinded by their own arrogance and tunnel vision of assumptions taken as fact.
