And here is the beauty of the Karl Popper thing, if you read "The Open Society and its Enemies"… see, Karl really meant well, and truly believed that the solution to every political question was that every form of conservative belief was just due to being "an enemy of open society", and that open society meant freedom, progress, and humanitarianism… He believed in this so narrowly, that he tended to take the least charitable view possible of any thinkers that he construed as being enemies to open society, such as Plato, who he actually claims is intellectually dishonest in his apologism for totalitarianism… He was totally blinded by his partisan framework…
And so along comes George, co-opts the name of Karl's system, and fundmentally makes a mockery of it, all while hiding under the very partisan illusion of moral/dualistic absolutism that Karl had naively woven for him!
The relationship between Popper, Soros, and the history of political philosophy is one of very rich symbolism!
