Interesting that you mention this. I have wondered about the stairs recently, I missed noticing the dresses though, I don't usually pay much attention to that stuff. I have suspected that there is some reason he keeps mentioning those stairs. I have some thoughts but I would like to hear what other anons either know or think about it. For some reason the stairs thing keeps making me think of the stairs someone or someones may use to climb to the gibbet that awaits them. Wouldn't want them to fall and cheat justice. Haven't given the other things much thought though. Something is certainly happening.
