Info on Walkouttovote was posted last bread by another anon (thx), I added sauce–this organization is not about promoting civic virtue.

I first tried searching on the phrase "walkouttovote is funded by"

Guess what? No results!

A visit to their website (walkouttovote.org) was more enlightening (see the partial list of partner organization below).

Walkouttovote promotes young voters skipping school

Saw in local paper 18 yr old high school students are planning walkouts in order to go to the polls to vote as part of a scial media [brainwashing] campaign called Walkouttovote.org. Evidently our polls open from 7am to 8pm is not adequate and they must disrupt their education and classtime to vote. The local schools said they are not providing special provisions but would honor notes from home to leave school (to me, that sounds reasonible). Most social media groups listed never heard of and is headed by Future Coalition.

from the website: https://walkouttovote.org/#map

"On November 6th at 10am, students in high schools and colleges across the country will walk out of class and march to the polls to cheer each other on as those eligible cast their votes. By bringing together young people across communities, issues, and organizations, we will ensure young people show up to the polls in record numbers and send a bold message to politicians and the country that young people are unified in our demand for change. Even if students aren’t old enough to vote, they are still encouraged to lead and participate in the walkout to help make our message heard.

Walkout to Vote is a project of the Future Coalition–a national network of youth-led organizations and initiatives. The Future Coalition works collaboratively to share resources and ideas, all with a common goal of making the future a better, safer, and more just place for everyone."

WALKOUTTOVOTE

Partner organizations include the following:

NATIONAL DIE-IN is a student-led movement continuing the fight for common sense gun reform in America. We seek to reduce the gun violence epidemic plaguing the country and marginalize the power of the gun lobby in our government.

imatter: Youth are driving aggressive local climate policy – and this is just the beginning.

DELTA (motto: “I dream of a nation worth dying for”): In chemistry, the Delta (Δ) is the symbol for Change, and that’s what this generation is all about. Education reform, climate change action, and gun safety resolutions barely scratch the surface of the potential of Generation Z, the kids born 1995-2008.

BRAVE: Bold Resistance Against Violence Everywhere: a program for youth ages 13-24 from different schools and communities to come together to promote peace and change.

BULLETPROOF BALLOT: We have partnered with Team Enough and Walkout To Vote in order to educate voters on the biggest issue of this election- gun control.

GENERATION ORANGE: Our mission is to end the gun violence in all communities and be the last Orange Generation.

STUDENT VOICE: We are a community of young people revolutionizing schools and empowering students to take ownership of their education.

S.T.O.R.M. @STORM4Action Students Tactically Organizing Revolutionary Movements

PPTK: We Want Parents To PROMISE To Their Children That They Will Vote For Legislators Who Support Children's Safety over Guns.

PLATFORM: In city halls, state capitals and the chambers of Congress, elected officials are making decisions about young women’s bodies, lives, and futures— without listening to our voices. We’re here to change that. Platform is a new training and lobby organization dedicated to ensuring the voices of all those who identify as young women, non-conforming, non-binary, and femme folx are heard in the rooms where decisions are made.

You posted the original? Good material. Next time I'll include a link.

I tried "walkouttovote is funded by George Soros," since it probably is! But whoever funds it, they are very behind the scenes. I wouldn't be surprised to find that these "partners" have the same hidden funding source.

I just found some additional stuff. I'll compile it and post in a few minutes.

16 scenarios with rehearsals? Are you kidding?

Don't they realize this is what makes the news so incredibly BORING???

I never watched the news until DJT became President. Now it's never a dull moment. Even the boring channels aren't boring, just unintentionally funny.

Geez, I just looked at the TV. Election day starts in 5 mins–at least it does in NJ. Not here. Everyone is asleep.

I got motivated by education when I was going to teach a course and found all kinds of weirdness around how I was supposed to write the course objectives. (Never happened)

Then got deeply into Common Core research because of my God children. Good thing, it's like a rescue mission trying to keep children in any kind of good situation.

Like you, I waited a lifetime for this. Funny, I knew something was missing for years. And now I see the things that happened then–which weren't very pleasant–led me here, along with dreams.

The waiting part–the tension can be tough for all. But I think it's harder for younger people, because they don't know what it's like to live under a cloud where nothing is terrible but nothing is really good. And this goes on for years. Waiting a few weeks or months is not much.

I had a dream 15 years ago that involving the American Revolution, a bank (dough), and literal bread dough rising! That really amazes me, I only thought of it a couple weeks ago. It is so specific.

And then dreams when Trump was elected. So when all my friends knocked him, I said I'd wait and see.

Many anons have talked about being drawn by something inside to this work. It's humbling.

Let's see…

a brief trip to the Internet shows me that this is a whole rabbit hole of interconnecting, radical youth orgs. Hard to tell exactly where walkouttovote fits in, although it is especially affiliated with anti-gun orgs. But some of these orgs have big money.

Future Coalition, March for Our Lives are affiliated….hey, there's a New Yorker article on March for Our Lives, which is part of the Never Again Movement (anti-gun).

https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/the-march-for-our-lives-presents-a-radical-new-model-for-youth-protest

It seems that March for Our Lives' Board is full of well-placed left-wing activists and they get money from a lot of Hollywood people like Spielberg,Jeff Katzenberg, G Clooney, and Oprah. Affiliated with "liberal donation platform" Action Network.

https://capitalresearch.org/article/whos-paying-to-march-for-our-lives/

walkouttovote looks almost more like a project than an org, website is so sparse. But Common Dreams is actually not new, was created in 1997. They want to be my "trusted news source" (see website). They are run out of a PO Box in Portland ME. They want to "ignite change for the common good."

Gee, that was informative. They say they are funded by "thousands of small donations" from their readers. True? Who knows?

There's a lot more that could be dug into. But I must away to sleep. I could spend all my time looking at educational and youth stuff, really motivating. Hate what they're doing to the kids.
