I saw something at the polling station today that I never thought I'd see in Oklahoma. An elderly lady was being overly assisted by her Hispanic caregiver. At least until I leaned over and told her she didn't need a 2nd pen to read to the woman what was on her ballot.
She started to give me dirty look and I just reached out as though expecting her to hand me the pen. It took her several seconds and a long hard glare, but she finally relented and gave me the pen.
When I took it over to the judge, he asked what that was about and I told him what she was doing. So, he promptly went over and told her she needed to wait outside. Then he sat down to read the ballot to the elderly lady.
