The class of person "Monarch" was abolished in the UK by Article 8 of the EU's Maastricht Treaty in 1993. Everyone now just an equal-value "Citizen of the EU" and all the rest is a matter of job description. Not sure about other Commonwealth countries or impact of Brexit…
