not really, I have one sighted in with a MPBR of 110 yards. Any distance from the muzzle to 110 yards is no more than 3" high or 3" inches low. Red dot scopes work great on shotguns using slugs

It's not for long range shooting - but with a 110 MPBR - I don't have to worry about hitting the 'target' at anything less. We do shoot some steel at those ranges just to keep proficient.
