Just moved into my YT 'likes'…a lot of rock musicians are just really good professional musicians and go where the money is…they can and do play a lot of different stuff and draw inspiration from all over. The more varied the mix of things you listen to and if you have an ear for remembering melodies, you can spot where certain songs got their hooks…sometimes outright plagiarism. That's why a lot the more thievy types listen to stuff that's out of copyright, which in music is a very long time. 75 years past the death of the artist. So right now copyrights are expiring for pieces that could've been written by someone born 175 years ago conceivably. Small digression…kek
