What exactly has been lost if the D's take the House?

Nothing.

They can investigate all they want. Trump will invoke executive privilege. Supreme court will back him up.

They can impeach him, but he will never be convicted in a strongly Republican senate.

They can try to block funding of his projects–i.e. the wall. He uses the already allocated DoD funds to build it.

They can throw a tantrum and threaten to shut down the government by not funding a budget. Lets see how that works for you.

The house cannot do a single meaningful thing to Trump. All the while we stack the courts, get all of our appointments through, and rule through regulation since the house has LONG ago abrogated their power to the bureaucracy that we now unquestioningly control.

Then, we declassify. Then we charge and purge the D criminals from office. Republican Governors appoint republican replacements and wow…we have a majority in the house.
