Honestly, Trump couldn't work with Paul Ryan, who was an enemy. McConnell is a friend, wisely and proactively purchased at the low price of the Secretary of Transportation position to his wife. Ryan lost the House, probably didn't try hard to keep it because he knew Trump would be in control if he did. This may have been unavoidable on Day 1 with such a snake as Ryan there.

Was this one ever seriously in doubt? I am no longer in CA, and I know about rural Californians, but I think that state is off-the-edge commie and never had any expectation a R could become governor. Schwarzenegger was a RINO at best, useless.

MN is swirling the drain. Sorry MN folks, I'd advise you to sell and come to warmer climes – or hop over west to ND which just elected a good senator.

Sure why not, we don't respect them anyway, they make their "progress" thru the courts.

Good thing we now have more judges, and will have more and more as they get confirmed over the next 2 years. But the Dems have zero cost to try and zero principles.

Honestly it hardly ever is. Whatever the race result is, it's made official, fuckery is covered up, and we move on. Great forces seem to make that happen.

Will this time be different? It would be nice to see that.

We've had legislative gridlock before. I doubt that reviving a discredited "Russia" investigation will get far, and if the Dems are going to impeach anyway, fuck it then fire Mueller and Rosenstein, and the Senate will laugh at any such referral. Fire Mueller tomorrow, so the Dems can't drag the thing out until 2020.

Make this Mueller investigation an even bigger cluster than it is now, so it goes into the American history books in bold print.
