Now that the emphasis is moving from the House to the Senate, Goodlatte & Gowdy need to be elsewhere.

They must somehow have known in advance.

Wasn't there conjecture that Gowdy might take the place of RR at some point?

What role would Goodlatte play?

Something to bring down the house of cards?

Could House of Cards also refer to the recent series in which a long-time corrupt politician (ironically played by Kevin Spacey) becomes President?

(It's based on a British series by the same name.)

Interesting thing about that series–it includes a episode right out of Bohemian Grove.

Some people say that's the real reason Spacey got "outed" as a sexual predator.

I love Ben Stein, although I haven't read that book. God, what an intellect combined with a sense of humor. Ferris Bueller–I laugh just thinking about it! And he did a wonderful film on fake global warming, too, before anyone saw it as fake.

So POTUS never let on that he wasn't really trying for the House at all. He wanted certain Senators gone, as part of a plan to "catch a FISH."
