On impeachment, I think the Dems will be in a dead-end due to lack of enough Repubs to go along with it. Their majority is not going to be big enough and even some Dems will hinder it (to save their own hides).
If they base impeachment on flimsy this or fobbish that, then, they are setting the hook in their own bellies. The Dems will divide.
But they will not give up. DECLAS makes the more prominent pro-impeach Dems in the House (but also in Senate as well as pres hopefuls) even more vulnerable in 2 years. Some will do an about face. Some few, possibly, will even work with POTUS and hope to gain some degree of influence because they will hedge on Trump's re-election and Repub's continued majority in Senate.
