Gowdy knew it would happen, surprised at timing, that it happened even before the votes have been finalized.

Doesn't see it as a problem. Every prosecutor has jurisdictional boundaries….There's never been a prosecutor who has unfettered power to go investigate whatever…he or she wanted to do.
The notion that we're gonna create a special counsel that has no boundaries at all is typical Chuck Schumer. It's why so few people take him seriously.
Q on D Atty Genl RR: Why not the new temp. AG?
"There are interesting times that we're in."
Had 37 pages of Q for him two weeks ago. Alleged to have an interest in 25th Amendment, possible POTUS impeachment. Doesn't think anytime will happen to RR until after Mueller finishes his investigation. Then it's between POTUS and RR.
Q on Mueller timeline:
M has tried to keep his business private. Gowdy hasn't seen any evidence of Russian collusion with Trump campaign.
"No one has inverviewed more witnesses than I have."
Thinks M will issue report before the end of the year exonerating Trump campaign.
Q–Could new AG Whittaker coul expand the Mueller investigation "the other way"–look at FBI, early aspects of investigation?
Goodlatte & Gowdy think there should be a 2nd special counsel to look at origins of the Russia probe, how the FBI conducted itself. We have been looking to extent we can and we are "deeply troubled" about the FBI role.
Q–more likely that it will happen under Whittaker?
Better than with Sessions, where there was zero chance.
Q–on midterm results:
