Huxley's Brave New World is not compatible with beauty, truth, dissent. Controlled opposition may be immune to soma but is misdirected toward islands – whatever you want. Even "something different". (See vids)

If we then each takes a step and so more than one step at a time. If a collective, individual subsumed, then, the State takes the step and "we" keep in step. Time stands still when the State say so. The autonomous individual steps up to his own loyalties, which when authentic becomes patriotism. Not collectivism or nationism.
