I admire your analysis. However, listening to POTUS' presser today, it dawned on me that the Plan is akin to one of those choose your own adventure books. Each step in the plan includes possible outcomes and reactions as well as ways to turn each outcome or reaction into an advantage. Midterm possibilities: H and S both R–this is what we will do. H:R, S:D–this is what we will do. Same for H:D, S:R and both chambers D. Since POTUS knows most every contingency is planned for, he can discuss each situation calmly and with a smiling, confident countenance.
The Plan is probably one of the most complex project management charts ever created.
