"This has been planned for at least 3 years" (plan to drain the swamp):

Contract bid put out in 2017 for "mass migration complex" at Gitmo last year, for capacity for 13000 migrants and 5000 "staff". Managed by the contracting office at NAS Jacksonville, FL.

Possible to repurpose for other guests?

A cuban exile family won the construction bid to build new family housing there and a school for dependents. Looks like they are planning on having a big administrative footprint there for a while.

Absolutely possible.

However, the staff to guest ration of 5000:13000 is out of whack. Which implies something else is going on.

DH was at Gitmo for the migrant crisis in 92/93, the shitstorm when the lawyers showed up to read the migrants their "rights" b4 they would let them go was a huge admin footprint, so I immediately thought of that. If you were going to hold military tribunals, that machine is a HUGE admin footprint.

I would prefer the swamp dwellers get shipped to Diego, even further away, but as Hank Johnson has warned, that capacity may cause it to tip over. Construction at Diego is even further off most pipo's radars IMO.

Yes. Not a reasonable "troop to task" ratio.

Plus a huge new state-of-the-art school for dependents. Which is not something they would spend money on just to mind migrants, IMO. It would be to cater to the white collar military and for an administrative cadre that would be there for quite some time. This goes beyond just rebuilding what was destroyed from the migrant crisis of 92/93

I could be wrong, but another anon had asked a while back about capacity at Gitmo and this came up (the contract bid for space to accommodate 13000).
