A close friend moved to Ventura County a few years back from out of state.

This friend ( a law abiding homeschool mom type) immediately started experiencing weird crap.

Right after moving in, she was up late, alone. she walked into her living room to find a large man standing in her flower box looking in her window. He ran, she called the police. (Ventura County Sheriff).

They said it was probably an accident and not to worry.

She'd come home from the store to find stuff moved around, like someone was digging around. She got a big dog and new locks.

Then someone broke the window in her car, but didn't steal anything. She called the police.

Two deputys came to take a statement. They acted weirdly, as though they shared some inside joke. They told her not to worry, it was probably a homeless person looking for somewhere to sleep for the night.

She decided they were probably right, even though she hadn't seen many homeless in the area. As they were leaving they joked to each other that my friend didn't seem to hate the police. She thought it was strange but thought maybe it was normal.

Shortly after, they'd wake up every morning and find their cars trashed. Someone pulling everything out of the glove compartment and console, throw it all over the floor, completely ignore the cash, gift cards and cigarettes. She bought a camera, the cord was recently cut, a neighbor trimming trees cut only her cord. It's all bizarre and circumstantial but I wonder if something more is going on now…
