Perhaps the Red Wave was about stopping the Blue Wave… when the indictments are opened, we need the number of indicted democrat House members to be MORE than the majority count (currently 235 - 218 needed for majority = 17). Sure we didn't keep the House, but perhaps we had to make sure we kept it less than 25 or some other magic number…
