got a quick story for yah..
I was in a grocery store and I overheard two old folks talking about how someone should have shot the guy ( referencing TO shooting last night) & the women said "I know honey, that's why we voted" .. and then she looked around & softly said " that's all we can do that's why we voted the way we did" and the old guy [they were like in their 70s or so] was pissed and swore and in a hushed mad voice said "well like it mattered anyways " and the he looked around…
here I am, a latina wearing my Q jacket & sporting my Q hat and these two are scared to admit they voted Republican.
the lady ends up dropping something on the floor & couldn't get it cause of her arthritis.. so I bent down and picked it up for her .. the. I said to her "you know, it's not a sin to be a Republican. I voted too. That's all we can do to make a difference " … smiled and walked away. she was surprised lol.

yah, u could say a Latin person could be coward when push comes to shove… take off their shirt & blend in with the masses of the Ds/Ls get crazy … But most latins are super stubborn & wouldn't do that. they fight for their causes.
everyone assumes I am a D cuz of my skin. My family is white. They have to deal with the other side. it's not good for either of us. I had my own shortcomings growing up white but being born in another country. both sides cursed me for multiple reasons. I wasnt America because I wasnt white or I wasnt hispanic enough because x,y,z. I wasnt a real latina because I woudnt speak Spanish. (srly, I got this shit in College even though I was literally born in a Latin Country & lived there!!) If I was wearing sweats & my car wasnt dirty, I would get pulled over at the checkpoints. But if I was clean & I was "lady like" they would let me go through.
So, it's easy for u to judge me but my life has not been an easy one. I'm like an outcast in a Country that rejects me from all sides but u have no idea how much I would die to defend everything this constitution stands for because I know what my life would have been where I was born. I am so grateful.
