Los Angles is famous for having many oil wells and I'm not sure if their residential pipeline and pumps can withstand the type of fire that is threatening that area.
The famous San Bruno Pipeline Explosion of 2010 in North California that ultimately PG&E was responsible for comes to mind with all these fires in CA popping up.
Governor Jerry Brown recently allows PG&E to charge customers affected by fires for damages caused by them, even if they are to blame.
