NOSE DIVE Fly Jamaica plane carrying 126 people crash lands in Guyana leaving at least six injured
A BOEING jet has crash-landed at Guyana airport after experiencing mechanical problems, injuring six people.
The Jamaica Airlines plane, bound for Toronto, suffered hydraulic issues after taking off from Georgetown airport at 2am local time but just over 10 minutes into the flight it had to turn back and make an emergency landing.
But the airliner, which was carrying 118 passengers including two young children, overshot the runway and ended up on a sandy bank.
One of its wings and an engine was torn away from the fuselage.
The plane was built 19 years ago and has been previously operated by eight airlines.
The aircraft went out of production in 2004.
Guyana’s public infrastructure Minister David Patterson confirmed that six people were injured were being treated at the Diamond Regional Hospital.
He told a local news outlet: They are all stable and are being looked at."
The runway itself had been extended after a Caribbean Airlines plane overran the strip in 2011, broke through a fence and crashed across a road, injuring eight people.

Facebook Approves of Page Auctioning off Teenaged Girl for Muslim Marriage
It has been revealed that Facebook allowed a Muslim account owner to use his Facebook page to auction off a teen girl for an arranged marriage. And Facebook says conservatives are evil?
Arranged marriages are common in the Muslim culture of South Sudan, but with the advent of the Internet the practice has gotten farther afield than local communities and human rights organizations worry that too many young girls are being treated like commodities to be sold on the Internet for great personal gain in that African nation.
Such is the case with a Muslim man who was “auctioning” a teenaged girl on his Facebook page. And despite being warned about the outrage, Facebook refused to stop the sale of the girl or punish the page owner in any way
In South Sudan, according to Voice of America News, an online auction was being held for marriage rights to a 16 year old girl. South Sudan’s National Alliance for Women Lawyers called the action “a gross human rights violation” which “violates the rights of a girl.” On Facebook, several posts followed the auction. The original poster called the situation a “competition.” At one point, the leading bid was 500 cows and 3 cars.
Based on the posts, it looks as if several regional politicians were involved in the bid. Someone posted, “Cows are more than people.” In a reference to the young woman’s height, the post said, “The kids of the winner are guaranteed for NBA slots.”
The Alliance for Women Lawyers attempted to have the Facebook post taken down and urged government officials to investigate the situation. While dowry is a traditional token of appreciation in the South Sudanese culture, the practice has grown to the point where “forced and early marriages” have been common among families.
As of the writing of this post, the auction page was still live and Facebook had done nothing to stop what human rights groups have called an example of human trafficking.

A columnist for Vox, The Atlantic, Slate, and many other liberal publications took to Twitter this week and said he understands “terrorism” if it is used to push liberal policies.
Leftist writer Matthew Yglesias got caught up in a Twitter discussion of the terror attack on Fox News host Tucker Carlson yesterday when at one point, Yglesias noted that the attack on Carlson’s home is totally understandable because it was meant to serve liberalism.
It is just another example in which yet another hate-filled leftist justifies terrorism if it fits his political ideas.
I think the idea behind terrorizing his family, like it or not as a strategy, is to make them feel some of the fear that the victims of MAGA-inspired violence feel thanks to the non-stop racial incitement coming from Tucker, Trump, etc.
