Boeing jet crash-lands at Guyana airport, 6 people injured

Six people were injured after a Boeing 757 with more than 120 people on board crash-landed at Guyana’s Georgetown airport, officials said. The aircraft was en route to Canada.

Less than 20 minutes after takeoff, the Toronto-bound jet had to change course and return to the departure airport due to mid-air malfunction. The crew noticed a problem with the hydraulic system and was forced to turn the aircraft back to Cheddi Jagan Airport.

However, the emergency landing resulted in a crash, as the Boeing 757 overran the runway and hit a barrier. The incident led to the brief closure of the airport, but it has now been reopened, according to local media.

Dramatic photos have been circulating on social media showing the crash site. One of the aircraft’s turbines is seen badly damaged after it apparently slammed into a fence.

Six of the 128 people aboard the plane, including the crew, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the minister of public infrastructure, David Patterson, said as cited by local media.

The aircraft is 19 years old, according to Flight Alerts. The incident comes shortly after a Boeing 737 MAX 8 – the company’s state-of-the-art jet – crashed in Indonesia, killing all 189 people on board.

Wealthy suburban voters and women are being credited for the win.

At least 35 Republican lawmakers lost their seats on Tuesday night.

Democrats have a huge advantage over Republicans with their partners in the media complex, Hollywood, and academia.

And, unlike 2016, this year Democrats can also can give a huge amount of credit to Tech giants Google, Facebook and Twitter.

Suburban voters and women no longer were reading conservative articles on Facebook. Facebook eliminated at least 1.5 billion links to conservative articles since 2017. If you add additional websites like The Gateway Pundit, Infowars, Young Cons, Right Wing News, etc. the number tops 2 billion easy. And it likely made a difference on Tuesday night. 80% of women age 18-49 have Facebook accounts. These are the women who get their news from Facebook. Facebook knows this and eliminated conservative content on their platform so their would be no repeat of 2016.

It’s no secret that the Silicon Valley tech giants discriminate against conservatives and conservative content.

In August President Trump warned Google about it’s biased practices against conservatives and conservative content in their search feature.

Facebook has been shutting down traffic to conservative websites since the 2016 election.

The Gateway Pundit recently spoke with two of the top conservative publishers in America.

Floyd Brown is a conservative author, speaker and media commentator. In 2008 Floyd launched Western Journal which quickly became one of the top conservative websites in America. By 2016 Floyd’s organization of Western Journal and other conservative websites under his umbrella had more than a billion page views. Since 2016 Floyd’s organization lost 75% of its Facebook traffic.

Likewise, we spoke with Jared Vallorani from Klicked Media. Jared traveled to Washington DC with The Gateway Pundit and website owners at 100%FedUp in June to discuss Facebook targeting against conservative publishers with Republican lawmakers. Jared told The Gateway Pundit his organization Klicked Media, which hosts over 60 conservative websites, lost 400 million page views from Facebook in the last six months if you compare the traffic to a year ago. Jared said, “We lost 70% to 80% of our traffic if you compare January to May 2017 vs Jan to May 2018.”

If you combine the total number of page-views lost by just these two conservative online publishers you are looking at a loss of over 1.5 billion page-views from Facebook in one year.

Motorcade carrying British, Belgian PMs involved in collision, two police officers injured

A motorcade carrying the British and Belgian Prime Ministers, Theresa May and Charles Michel, has been involved in a traffic collision which left two police officers, who accompanied it on bikes, injured.

There has been no official statement from the authorities or police, but according to media reports a car moving along the same road in front of the convoy did not follow police instructions and apparently failed to move aside.

Instead, the driver is alleged to have suddenly slammed on the brakes. As a result, two police officers riding motorcycles rammed into the vehicle and found themselves thrown to the ground. It was initially reported that a vehicle had rammed the convoy.

Michel was reportedly forced to stop the motorcade for some time. Some media reports suggested he left his vehicle and kneeled on the highway to hear from the two police officers, who sustained light injuries. The officers were taken to hospital and the motorcade was able to resume its journey.

The incident occurred as May and Michel were returning from the Saint Symphorien War Cemetery located near the south-western Belgian city of Mons, not far from the French border. The motorcade carrying the two prime ministers was moving to NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe located in Casteau, north-east of Mons.

Earlier, May and Michel visited the St. Symphorien cemetery, where they took part in a wreath-laying ceremony as part of the commemorative events marking the centenary of the end of WWI. The two prime ministers laid wreaths made of white roses and poppies on the graves of the first and last British soldiers killed in the war.

Mueller Grand Jury Witness Cryptically Suggests He’s In Legal Jeopardy

Jerome Corsi, a journalist known for pushing the Obama “birther” conspiracy theory, suggested on Thursday that he could face prosecution in the Mueller probe.

On his daily webcast, Corsi became emotional at times as he cryptically referred to the “extreme mental pressure” he has faced since being subpoenaed by Mueller.

Corsi has appeared twice before Mueller’s grand jury.

He expressed concern about what he “foresee[s] coming down the pike.”

Journalist Jerome Corsi cryptically suggested he could be in legal jeopardy in the Mueller investigation during an at-times emotional appearance on his web show Thursday.

“Thank God I’m still with the family, right now. I plan to be the rest of my life,” Corsi said during an hour-long broadcast of his web show. “Don’t know if I can promise that given what I foresee coming down the pike.”

Corsi, a former Infowars reporter, has appeared twice before a grand jury being used in the special counsel’s investigation of possible collusion between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russian government.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the former FBI director leading the probe, appears interested in Corsi’s interactions with Roger Stone, the longtime Trump confidant who is said to be a target in the investigation.

Corsi, 72, said Thursday that he would not comment specifically on the Mueller investigation. But he made remarks throughout the show that suggested his involvement in the probe is more dire than has been reported so far. Corsi said that he has been under “extreme mental pressure” since he first became involved in the investigation.

“I thought psychologically from time to time I was going to break,” he said.

Corsi said Mueller’s team subpoenaed him on Aug. 28 and that he’s been “constantly working with” the special counsel ever since. Corsi has met with prosecutors for numerous interviews and testified to the grand jury in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 21 and Nov. 2.

He said he will miss his show Friday because he will be with his attorneys most of the day. He also announced that he will be setting up a legal defense fund next week.

Kyrsten Sinema Flips Slight Lead over Martha McSally as Arizona Counts Votes

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema flipped into the lead over Republican Martha McSally late Thursday as votes are still being counted in several counties.

McSally had held the lead early Thursday, two days after the Tuesday midterm election. She had 49.4 percent and 856,848 votes. Sinema had 48.4 percent at 839,775 votes at the time. At the time there were still 617,000 votes to be counted in the state or 16 percent of all votes cast, according to the Arizona Secretary of State.

That lead flipped late Thursday with an updated batch of votes counted putting Sinema in the lead with 49.1 percent of the vote, or 932,870 votes. McSally dipped to 48.59 percent of the vote with 923,260 votes. Green Party candidate Angela Green had carved out a slim 2.31 percent of the vote with 43,838 votes.

The 1,899,968 total votes counted as of late Thursday’s posting represented 99 percent reporting or 1,484 of 1,489 precincts, according to the New York Times.

Latest numbers from the Arizona Secretary of State as reported by the Arizona Republic show Maricopa County with 345,000 votes yet to be counted (150,000 early ballots, 195,000 Election Day drop-off, provisional, or out-of-precinct ballots), Pima County with 54,000 yet to be counted (36,000 early and 18,000 provisional ballots), Pinal County with 31,800 early ballots yet to be counted, and Coconino County with 10,600 votes remaining to be counted. There are small batches of votes yet to be counted in other counties as well: Mohave County 8,000, Santa Cruz County 6,100, Yavapai County 6,100, Apache County 4,600, Navajo County 4,000, Yuma County 3,100, Cochise County 1,700, and La Paz County 580.

Republicans have already secured continued control of the U.S. Senate after Tuesday’s midterm election results, gaining seats in the Senate regardless of whether McSally or Sinema emerge victorious in the Arizona race.

Los Zetas Cartel Boss Gets Lifetime Prison Sentence in Texas

A top Los Zetas Cartel boss caught hiding near Houston, Texas, was sentenced to two terms of life in prison for his leadership role in the international criminal organization.

At a federal courthouse in Waco, U.S. District Judge Alia Moses sentenced 38-year-old Juan Francisco “Kiko” Trevino Chavez to two life terms in prison, a $2 million fine, and a $2 million money judgment. As Breitbart News reported, Trevino was convicted in July on multiple counts of drug trafficking conspiracy, weapons charges, money laundering, and other conspiracies.

Law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart News at the time that Trevino was forced to leave Nuevo Laredo following a series of rival clashes and near captures. Seeking refuge, the cartel boss tried to keep a low profile in Baytown, Texas. Through the Cartel Chronicles project, Breitbart News exclusively reported when Trevino’s rivals forced him to flee a hideout and leave behind his grandmother. The move was mocked in narco-banners.

“Trevino … is a leader for a major transnational criminal organization that is responsible for smuggling literally tons of drugs into South Texas,” said Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Shane Folden. “HSI specializes in complex cross-border conspiracy investigations targeting violent and dangerous individuals who threaten or violate the national security if the United States.”

Trevino had been a member of Los Zetas since 2004, operating primarily south of the region between Laredo and Del Rio, Texas. The convicted drug lord is the nephew of captured Los Zetas bosses Miguel Angel “Z40” Treviño Morales and Omar “Z-42” Treviño Morales, the leaders of Los Zetas. During his role as a top operative, prosecutors revealed that Kiko was responsible for moving more than 250,000 kilograms of cocaine (550,000 pounds), hundreds of tons of marijuana, and more than 800 firearms.

After the capture of his uncles, Los Zetas split into two separate cartels with Kiko taking over one faction known as Cartel Del Noreste (CDN). The CDN and their rivals, Los Zetas Vieja Escuela, fight throughout Mexico for control of lucrative drug trafficking and human smuggling routes.

Hard Left Greek PM Moves Towards Abolishing Christianity as State Religion

Alexis Tsipras has moved forward with plans to abolish Christianity as the state religion in Greece, announcing that 10,000 Orthodox Church employees will be taken off the public payroll.

Appearing at a joint televised address in Athens with the leader of the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Ieronymos, the avowed atheist premier said that priests and bishops will remain on the state payroll but will no longer be civil servants.

The move will serve as the first step towards disestablishing the Church, after the hard left ruling Syriza party last week finalised its plans for constitutional reform which would strike all references to Jesus and the Church, and define Greece as a “religiously neutral” state.

Tsipras referred to the deal struck between church and state on Tuesday as a “historic agreement”, while a communique sent out after the broadcast reported the two sides have reached a settlement over a decades-old property dispute and will set up a joint fund to split revenues and bills from sites claimed by both the church and the state 50-50.

“After a long-term, comprehensive and frank dialogue between the state and the Church, a dialogue that took place in an atmosphere of respect and understanding, we now have the opportunity to move to concerted and mutually acceptable and mutually beneficial initiatives related to streamlining our relations,” says the joint statement.

Freedom of worship is guaranteed in the current constitution, but its declaration of Orthodoxy as the dominant religion is contested by globalist NGOs which claim this to be an affront to “human rights” in Greece.

BBC News said the deal was “definitely an important step towards Greece becoming a genuinely secular country”, but warned there was “clearly a very long way ahead before Church and state in Greece are completely separate”.

“Pupils at Greek schools still start their day with a prayer and continue to be taught religion throughout their 12-year mandatory education,” notes the British state broadcaster in its analysis, which also highlighted the continuing presence of Christian imagery in the country’s courts.

Greece was found to be the most religious nation in Europe in a massive Pew study conducted over two years, which found that of the 96 per cent of Greeks who were raised Orthodox Christian, 93 per cent said they remain practising Christians.

Retiring Republican senator Jeff Flake announced a cross-party plan Thursday to force a vote on legislation to prevent Robert Mueller from being fired.

The bipartisan effort by Flake and Democrat Chris Coons was announced in the wake of Donald Trump firing Jeff Sessions as attorney general and installing persistent Mueller critic Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general.

Whitaker is under pressure to recuse himself from overseeing the probe as a result of his criticisms of it but has made no indication that he would step aside.

Whitaker - a former college football star - is expected to oversee Mueller's investigation into potential coordination between Trump's 2016 Republican campaign and Russia.

On Thursday Flake said he and Coons would demand a vote on a bill already approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee which would order a 10-day window for any firing to be reviewed by a judge - and rescinded if there was not 'good cause'.

Flake announced the effort the day after Trump launched a blistering attack on the senator, a persistent critic, at the White House, saying of Sessions: 'I retired him. I'm very proud of it.'

Jo Johnson Resigns from Govt Over Brexit Plan Which would See Britain ‘Out of Europe, Yet Run by Europe’

Transport minister Jo Johnson has resigned from Theresa May’s government, claiming she has left Britain facing a choice between “vassalage and chaos”.

The MP for Orpington is brother to Boris Johnson, the Brexit-supporting former Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary — but, like sister Rachel, was himself a Remain supporter during Britain’s referendum on EU membership in 2016.

In a statement published on the Medium website, the younger Johnson claimed the Brexit deal the Prime Minister is pushing for would leave the United Kingdom “economically weakened, with no say in the EU rules it must follow and years of uncertainty for business”.

The former Remainer has been unable to embrace the possibilities offered by a clean ‘No Deal’ Brexit in which Britain would deal with the EU as a third country on standard World Trade Organisation terms, however, claiming this would mean “chaos”.

“I believe it is entirely right to go back to the people and ask them to confirm their decision to leave the EU and, if they choose to do that, to give them the final say on whether we leave with the Prime Minister’s deal or without it,” he declared, making his intention to campaign for an effective re-run of the 2016 referendum from the parliamentary backbenches plain.

This is despite the fact he reportedly wrote the 2015 election manifesto for the Tory party promising to “honour the result of the [2016] referendum, whatever the outcome.”

US allows Iraq to buy electricity from Iran

The United States has granted Iraq a waiver to allow it to continue purchasing and importing electricity from its sanction-worn neighbour Iran.

Baghdad purchases much of its electricity and natural gas from Iran, making it heavily reliant on the country for a sufficient supply of its energy essentials. The revamped sanctions slammed down on Iran by the US earlier this week and its subsequent warning to those who trade with the country caused Iraq to fearful it would be unable to obtain the supplies it needs.

Those fears were allayed yesterday when US State Department representative on Iran Brian Hook told reporters in Washington: “We granted Iraq a waiver to allow it to continue to pay for its electricity imports from Iran. We are confident that this will help Iraq limit electricity shortages in the south.”

Hook added that “Iraq is a friend and a partner, and we are committed to its stability and prosperity.”

Despite the waiver, the US now expects Iraq to seek a way to stop relying on Iranian energy within a month and a half. An anonymous Iraqi source informed Agence France-Presse (AFP) that “the US gave us 45 days to give them a plan on how we will gradually stop using Iranian gas and oil.”

The US and Iraq enjoy a strong relationship and cooperate on issues such as governance, security and politics. Economically, however, Iraq is very much intertwined with Iran and relies on it for many things including food and energy, receiving 1,300MW of electricity in order to cope with power shortages.

Iraq’s population of 39 million receive only a few hours of electricity per day and rely on generators, which was the primary cause of the protests in the south of the country over the summer.

US Not Seeking New 'Cold War' With China - Pompeo

The United States Secretary of State has said on Friday that Washington is seeking a friendly, constructive dialogue with Beijing.

Despite the fact that the US is still "concerned" over China's military policies and religious freedom in the country, Washington does not seek a new "Cold War" with Beijing, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters at a news conference following diplomatic talks with Chinese officials.

"The United States is not pursuing a Cold War or containment policy with China. Rather, we want to ensure that China act responsibly and fairly in support of security and prosperity in each of our two countries," Pompeo said.

Bilateral relations and cooperation with China remain essential for the United States on many issues, including North Korean denuclearization and Iran sanctions.

"We hope to work with the Chinese government and Chinese energy companies in this regard," Pompeo said. "Bringing Iran's oil export revenues to zero is a critical component of this campaign and we discussed this today."

Chinese-US relations deteriorated in late May when US President Donald Trump announced that $50 billion worth of Chinese goods would be subject to 25 percent tariffs in a bid to fix the US trade deficit with China.

Since then, the two countries have exchanged several rounds of trade duties, with negotiations proving to be unsuccessful.

Mike Pompeo also noted that significant concerns over China's policy in the South China Sea remain.

"I was clear… that we have continued concerns about China's activities and militarization in the South China Sea. We pressed China to live up to its past commitments in this area," Pompeo told to the press.

China is involved in a number of territorial disputes over the islands in the South China Sea. China and the Philippines along with Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei and Vietnam are contesting the Spratly archipelago, whose shelf has significant oil and gas reserves. In July 2016, the Hague-based Permanent Court of Arbitration said that there was no legal basis for China’s maritime claims in the region after the relevant request of Manila. China refused to recognize the court’s ruling.

At the same time, Pompeo reaffirmed journalists that the US honors the one-China policy.

California Shooter Likely Prescribed Drugs by the VA that are Tied to Most Mass Shootings

Another tragic mass shooting has taken place and, as usual, both sides are using it to further their political agenda. As the left blames guns and the right blames mental illness, both sides are completely missing the elephant in the room. If Ian David Long was diagnosed with PTSD, as reported, he was likely prescribed a slew of medications from the VA which have been tied to most every mass shooting in recent history.

According to his neighbors and family, Long suffered from PTSD. While those who suffer from PTSD can have a myriad of horrific symptoms, homicidal ideation is not one of them. However, the drugs the VA doles out to treat PTSD most certainly carry warnings just like this.

Like many of the recent mass shooters, Long was visited by police for acting irrational and displaying signs of aggression and violence before the shooting. He was most recently visited by police in April after neighbors reported hearing him screaming and sounds like he “was tearing down the walls with a hammer.”

Authorities say they identified the Facebook page and Instagram account associated with the shooter who made an ominous post just before shooting up the bar in which he referred to himself as “insane.”

Not surprisingly, there have been no calls by the mainstream media to delete Facebook and Instagram like the ones that led to the deletion of Gab last month.

Long also filmed himself as he opened fire on Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, holding his Glock .45 in one hand and his cell phone in the other, according to police sources cited by TMZ.

What’s more, in the post allegedly made by Long on Facebook, the writer says: “I hope people call me insane… (laughing emojis).. wouldn’t that just be a big ball of irony? Yeah.. I’m insane, but the only thing you people do after these shootings is ‘hopes and prayers’.. or ‘keep you in my thoughts’… every time… and wonder why these keep happening…”

Could Long’s post on Facebook been a reference to the prescription drugs he’d been taking? While his sentiment closely resembles that of the people who call for gun control after shootings, considering he was about to use a gun, it could also be referring to the drugs that may have led to him having the thoughts that made him go into the bar that night.

It is important to note that there are tens of thousands of veterans with PTSD who live their lives as close to normal as possible and never dream of carrying out such horrifying violence. The overwhelming majority of people with a mental illness are not a threat and should never be demonized as such—especially in instances like this following a mass shooting.

That being said, however, the treatment for various mental illnesses should be highly scrutinized.

While marijuana has shown to be effective at treating PTSD, federal law prohibits its use and the VA is not allowed to prescribe it. Instead, dangerous SSRIs/SNRIs are recommended by the VA to treat PTSD, like Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, and Effexor.

ISIS Takes Credit For Melbourne Knife Attack That Left 1 Dead, 2 Wounded

As authorities in Melbourne confirm that a stabbing attack that unfolded on a busy Melbourne street on Friday afternoon is believed to have been an act of terror, ISIS has stepped up and taken credit for the attack.

A man stabbed three people in Melbourne on Friday, killing one and wounding two before police fatally shot him in the chest. The incident was captured on video that has widely circulated on social media and local television. In the footage, the man can be seen lunging at two police officers as a car fire burned in the background. As the attacker repeatedly swung his knife at one officer, the other pulled out his firearm and shot him. The attacker later died in the hospital.

Bank Of England Refuses To Release Venezuela's Gold

Three days ago, when we reported that following Trump's latest sanctions targeting Venezuela's gold sector president Maduro was seeking to repatriate all of Venezuela's gold - some 14 tons - held at the Bank of England, we cautioned that since the BoE "sought to clarify what Venezuela wants to do with the gold", this suggested that despite Venezuela being the rightful owner of this gold, Venezuela was about to face challenges in getting it back.

Today, the worst case - for Venezuela's president - was confirmed, when the Times reported that the Bank of England has "refused to release the gold bars" worth just over $550 million to President Nicolas Maduro.

According to the Times, the reason the BoE has refused release is due to its insistence that standard measures to prevent money-laundering be taken — "including clarification of the Venezuelan government’s intentions for the gold."

“There are concerns that Mr. Maduro may seize the gold, which is owned by the state, and sell it for personal gain,” the newspaper said.

Separately, as we reported on Monday, an official told Reuters that the repatriation plan has been held up for nearly two months due to difficulty in obtaining insurance for the shipment, needed to move a large gold cargo: “They are still trying to find insurance coverage, because the costs are high,” an official told Reuters.

As we reported on Monday, Venezuela’s gold located at the BoE was previously used as collateral until last year, backing loans up to several billion dollars from global banks.

Maduro is not the first to attempt to repatriate the country's gold. Venezuela's late socialist leader Hugo Chavez, sensing which way the wind is blowing and citing the need for Venezuela to have physical control of central bank assets, in 2011 repatriated around 160 tonnes of gold from banks in the United States and Europe to the central bank in Caracas. But some of Venezuela’s gold remained in the Bank of England. Starting in 2014, Venezuela used this gold for “swap” operations in which global banks lent Venezuela several billion dollars with the gold as collateral.
