Did anons watch Pompeo/Mattis presser today re:China?
I did, and was pretty standard. But one thing they mentioned was “what’s going on in Chonqing (sp)”. And the Chinese defended and said we have the right to our own affairs and we do not need to let the US anywhere inside our borders, and this includes Chonqing. Many other foreigners and travelers have been there and it is up to our own government to enforce its sovereignty etc etc .
Neither side ever mentions what IS going on in Chonqing. The Chinese were alluding to industry and the US alluded to some sort of military infrastructure. Not sure why the US wants in so bad or why the chinese are so touchy about it. I was thinking either nuclear development or some sort of new tech or cyber infrastructure.
Just thought it was interesting re: Q post.
