Thinking out loud: Why is the fact that they resigned significant? I cant see it. If going on to other things, couldnt they have just been appointed from current position? Why were resignations needed? Because of mid-term elections of Goodlatte and Gowdy, but that doesnt explain Sessions. This little detail is really throwing me off.
