Scratching head, I wonder if DEWs would induce voltages/currents in PG&E transmission lines? PG&E said they detected an "anomaly". Also yesterday there was a threat that PG&E power might be turned off in advance of some event happening, since Cali is holding them liable after the Santa Rosa fires.
Not sure what kind of energy or plasma the DEWs are firing, but fairly certain it would induce abnormal voltages/currents that PG&E could detect. That might cause arcing/short circuits that would then cause fires. Also people have been saying smart meters are vulnerable to overvoltage.
