My thoughts on Sessions: I think his appointment was part of the plan. The election of his successor was fraught with fraud that the good guys were able to research. His recusal was part of the plan so that the investigations into Trump would seem impartial and weed out the nefarious actors in the DOJ and FBI. His resignation is also part of the plan. He did his job, got needed evidence introduced through the Mueller probe and can now run for his old Senate office and get rid of another Democrat in the Senate. Also he always had a sneaky smile on his face when POTUS was calling him out like he still knew what was under the Christmas Tree.
