Not saying this is the meaning of Q's "Watch the water" post, but the post made me remember hearing about this story a while ago. Group consisted of foreigners from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

With respect, the best water in the world comes from natural springs in unpolluted areas.

www.findaspring.com is a database of natural springs in the US. Most of the places listed on the map are easily accessible by car. Snag some glass carboys and find a spring near you. Each spring location has comments from others who drink from the spring, some of whom have had the water tested, some give the historical record of people drinking from the spring.

Worth checking out as an alternative to a $2,800 machine. One time investment for the carboys and gas money to get there. Most springs are usually located in beautiful places, so you get the bonus of a sweet trip.

Sorry, not trying to distract from current tasks. Just had to chuck my 2 cents. Drinkingwaterfag here.

Understood. There are a couple of companies that have a delivery service with actual mountain spring water (not tap water like the other "spring water") delivered in glass jars. Not cheap, but it's available FYI.
