I live in FarNorCal. Yesterday morning I was able to see the smoke from the "Camp" fire… and I'm 2 hours drive up the Interstate 5 (near the Volcanos), late last night I was able to smell the smoke from the "Camp" fire. I was born and raised in Cali… earthquakes and fires are normal. On my 3rd or 4th birthday… 8.1 earthquake, 7th-8th grade our house burned in the "Painted Cave" fire (along with thousands more) where I grew up in SoCal. Now a couple months ago the forest near the town I live in burned up from the "Carr" fire. My son's great grandparents house burned in the "Camp" fire yesterday… Paradise is literally rekt and fukt beyond recognition. It's normal though.
