I am not a professional archeologist nor historian. But I found a picture of the destruction of "Sodom" (ancient city in the old testament, being destroyed by god for its extensive sins) like it was shown in a mosaic in the 12th century.
The patterns on the buildings remind me of the patterns shown from above on epstein island.
