According to the latest polls, the populist wave of anti-mass migration nationalist parties across the European Union is picking up steam, particularly in Italy, France and Hungary as pro-nationalism parties lead their rivals going into next year's EU parliament election.

s we reported last week, a recent poll from Nov. 4 from the Institut Français D’opinion Publique (IFOP) showed that French President Emmanuel Macron's centrist party Republic on the Move (LREM) has fallen to 19%, while Marine Le Pen's right-wing Rassemblement National (RN, formerly National Front) jumped to 21%, according to Euractiv.

Another poll from Elabe shows RN at 20% while Macron's LREM at 19.5%.

Heath Levey, a liberal Jew, was arrested this week and charged with drawing swastikas in the Uptown area of Chicago this week.

In 2016 this unhinged Democrat was arrested before the 2016 election for threatening to rape a Republican woman. He told her, “I’m going to rape you, you f*cking Republican.”

An Uptown man who is charged with two counts of hate crime for drawing swastikas on fences and a garage in his neighborhood is Jewish and was arrested five days before the 2016 election for allegedly threatening to rape and kill an Uptown woman who he believed to be a Republican, according to court records and friends of the man who spoke with CWBChicago.

Heath A. Levey, 51, was arrested Wednesday afternoon outside his home in the 4200 block of North Clarendon after police identified him as the swastika- and graffiti-drawing man who had been recorded on surveillance video November 2nd, four days before Election Day.

But friends of Levey on Facebook, contacted by CWBChicago Friday, said he comes from a Jewish family and has been openly gay and a professed Democrat for years.

Court files reviewed by CWBChicago today reveal that days before the 2016 presidential election, Levey was accused of assaulting an Uptown woman and damaging her property.

"They've Listened, They Know": Erdogan Announces Turkey Shared Khashoggi Death Tapes With U.S.

From the first week of investigations in the aftermath of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate it was widely reported that Turkish authorities had captured the heinous crime on audio recording as they'd had the consulate bugged, but there was never ultimate confirmation outside of taking anonymous Turkish officials' word for it.

But now President Tayyip Erdogan dropped bombshell just before he boarded a plane to Paris on Saturday for the 100th Armistice Day celebrations, where other world leaders will be gathered: "We gave the tapes… They know," Erdogan said speaking of the U.S. and European partners Germany, France and Britain. It's the first official public confirmation that recordings of Khashoggi murder at the hands of Saudi operatives exist. Apparently Erdogan has more to come in terms of slowly humiliating the Saudis as the timing of this is quite dramatic.

But given the damning nature and absolute certain proof that such evidence constitutes now in the hands of American authorities, why has Washington kept completely silent about it? And how long have they had the audio in their possession?

n a televised speech, Erdogan said Turkey has handed over recordings to Saudi Arabia, the United States, Germany, France and Britain. According to Reuters Erdogan stated confidently:

We gave the tapes. We gave them to Saudi Arabia, to the United States, Germans, French and British, all of them. They have listened to all the conversations in them. They know.

The Saudi story has shifted significantly over the past month as officials initially denied outright that any murder had taken place as they claimed Khashoggi left the consulate, but later floated the idea of an unauthorized "rogue operation" — which has now morphed into Saudi admission of a premeditated attack, but which they've still distanced crown prince MbS from any involvement in or knowledge of.

Following Erdogan's revelation, he demanded the Saudis identify from among a 15-man team that was confirmed by CCTV footage and other records to have arrived in Turkey days before Khashoggi’s killing. “There’s no need to distort this issue, they know for certain that the killer, or the killers, is among these 15 people. Saudi Arabia’s government can disclose this by making these 15 people talk,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan also took aim at Saudi Arabia's top prosecutor Saud al-Mujeb, saying, he's trying to "dodge the column" — or avoid doing his appointed duty of truly investigating the crime. "He [Al-Mujeb] asks for our prosecutor down there. Here [Turkey] is the place where the incident took place, you can discuss whatever you want to discuss here," Erdogan said.

And significantly Erdogan said he would seek a meeting with President Donald Trump in Paris during the WWI commemorations to discuss the matter: "When we go to Paris, we will try to secure an opportunity and we will realize a bilateral meeting."

Meanwhile President Trump and French leader Emmanuel Macron agreed during a meeting on Saturday after Trump previously arrived in Paris that the Saudi authorities needed to shed full light on Khashoggi’s murder, a French presidency source said cited by Reuters. However they were also reported to have agreed that further destabilization in the Middle East should be avoided — implying they don't plan to pressure MbS out of power in favor of another ruling prince.

But again one pressing question that remains, however, is how long have American authorities known of the contents of the Khashoggi murder tape? When did officials listen to it and why have they kept silent about it even as news of the death and investigation drove headlines?

MARCO RUBIO: Voter Finds Two ‘Provisional Ballot Boxes’ Unattended in Broward County (VIDEO)

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) brought attention to what appears to be boxes full of provisional ballots that are not being handled in accordance with the law.

A citizen found two unattended boxes marked “provisional ballot box” in the Tamarac Lakes Community Center.

The citizen called the Broward County Sheriff’s Office after finding the unattended boxes.

The Floridian Press reported:

The controversy surrounding unaccounted for ballots in Broward continues as provisional ballots were found unattended in a the Tamarac Lakes Community Center.

Upon finding them Saturday night, a citizen called the Broward Sheriff’s Office after finding election equipment and two locked boxes marked “Provisional Ballot Box.”

Lt. Ulvang was notified, and Dep. Sammarco and Sgt. Rivera are presently on the scene.

Sgt. Chenoweth of the Broward Sheriff’s Office spoke to Javier Manjarres of the Floridian and told him that he was there to investigate and secure the scene. After the BSO concluded their investigation, The Floridian was allowed to enter and document the voting equipment and the provisional ballots that were left.

Senator Rubio posted video and photos of the unattended ballot boxes to his Twitter account Saturday morning.

RUBIO: I don’t know what’s in this sealed box found this morning by #BrowardSheriff. But this dysfunction in #BrowardElections is not acceptable.

At a minimum it undermines public trust in the election & creates opportunity for mischief.

Maybe this box found this morning has office supplies in it. But if it contains just a single vote, it should have been handled in accordance with the law, NO MATTER WHO IT WAS A VOTE FOR.

Broward County elections supervisor Brenda Snipes refused to comply with a judge’s order on Friday evening and Palm Beach County election supervisor Susan Bucher was threatening to have journalists arrested if they filmed the public counting of ballots.

From traffic accidents to troops relieving themselves in public places and bars left without beer, this year's edition of NATO-led Trident Juncture drills has every chance to leave lasting memories in Norway and beyond.

Trident Juncture 2018 was by far the largest exercise hosted by Norway since the end of the Cold War and the largest NATO has held in decades. Involving some 50,000 troops from 31 countries, about 10,000 combat vehicles and 250 aircraft, the Trident Juncture was to hone the troops' combat skills in harsh Nordic climate – the one that probably led to some embarrassing setbacks.

Residents of Norway have filed hundreds of complaints with their country's military, drawing attention to human waste left by foreigners in public places. NATO troops – mostly Swedes and Americans – were reportedly caught relieving themselves near kindergartens, schools, and sports facilities, according to Norway's broadcaster NRK.

Other complaints came from local farmers who were angry about their property being damaged by armored vehicles. Norwegian Major Marianne Bo, responsible for damages and environmental protection during the NATO exercise, said the army usually has “a system for treating this” but something apparently went wrong.

“This is terrible, it's about having common decency,” the officer lamented. “We have to clean up after soldiers who have relieved themselves. It's literally a s****y job.” The news was met will little praise from Trident Juncture HQ either, which promised to take all the complaints seriously.

Full ammo, low beer

Norway wasn't the only country to be adversely affected by the drills. It emerged that some 7,000 US troops heading for the Trident Juncture drank bars in Iceland – where they made a pit stop – dry in a single weekend. The complaints said thirsty American soldiers were especially keen to try local beverages.

At some point, Brewery Olgerdin Egils Skallagrimsson in Reykjavik, Iceland's capital, which makes the popular Icelandic Gull, had to send emergency supplies to various pubs and bars.

Arizona US Senate: Sinema widens lead over McSally, Trump suggests election re-do

Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema has increased her lead over GOP Rep. Martha McSally in the tight Arizona U.S. Senate race, according to published reports.

What’s the latest?

The latest tally of votes published late Friday shows Sinema has more than doubled her lead over her Republican challenger by about 20,203 votes or just over one percentage point. Earlier on Friday, Sinema led by 9,100 votes for a 0.48 percentage point advantage out of nearly 2 million votes cast.

Most of the votes came from Maricopa County, the state’s most populous.

Statewide, about 350,000 ballots are still waiting to be tallied, the Associated Press reported.

After Maricopa, Pima County has the next-largest batch of uncounted ballots – about 30,000, The Hill reported. Pima is also home to the left-leaning Tucson. By Friday afternoon, Sinema was leading there by 14 percentage points.

On Friday, Arizona Republicans agreed to settle a lawsuit regarding the handling of fixing any discrepancies with mail-in ballots. Under the settlement, rural counties will be afforded the chance to address problems with mail-in ballots, as is the case in larger counties, the Associated Press reported. The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday.

What did Trump say?

President Donald Trump chimed in on Twitter, suggesting a re-do of the Arizona Senate election over the procedures for verifying mail-in ballots and what he called the appearance of electoral corruption.

“Just out — in Arizona, SIGNATURES DON’T MATCH. Electoral corruption – Call for a new Election? We must protect our Democracy!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Both Maricopa and Pima counties allow up to five days after Election Day to contact voters if there is a discrepancy between signatures on voter registration and the sealed mail-in ballot envelope. The lawsuit alleged that the practice is improper because it is not uniform across every state county.

Now the state’s 15 counties will have until Nov. 14 to verify and fix any mail-in ballots.

“This is a really great day for us,” state GOP attorney Kory Langhofer told the Associated Press. “The rural counties who were not going to be counting Republican votes on the same terms as the Democratic counties, they got caught with their pants down. When they’ve got to show up in court and explain to the judge what they’re doing they gave us everything we were asking for.”

Could this really make a difference?

Elections Director Eric Spencer told media less than 10,000 votes are likely to be impacted out of more than 2.3 million cast statewide.

Still, in a race this close, the votes could make the difference between a win or a loss for either candidate.

The two congresswomen are competing to fill a seat being vacated by retiring Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.

Gillum, Nelson Lawyers Fight To Include Non-Citizen’s Vote in Florida

Lawyers for Florida Democratic candidates Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson both fought to prevent a non-citizen’s vote from being excluded Friday night, according to a transcript of a Palm Beach County Canvassing Board proceeding obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Michael Barnett, chairman of the Palm Beach Republican Party, told TheDCNF that the county’s canvassing board was going through provisional ballots and quickly deciding whether to allow or disallow each. This exchange is of the first non-citizen’s vote they encountered. “We had a court reporter that we hired to sit in the proceedings, which are public,” he said.

The vote was disallowed despite the objections of the lawyers because two of the three members of the canvassing board ruled that it was an impermissible vote, he said.

Marc Elias, a lawyer for Nelson, told TheDCNF: “The lawyer who was present was not someone we had authorized to make such an objection. Non-citizens cannot vote in U.S. elections.”

He did not explain how the lawyer, Mr. Scarola, came to be representing Nelson’s interests in Palm Beach.

BREAKING: Broward County in Florida will undergo machine recount

On four races in Florida, Maricopa County’s Board of Elections has approved and announced a machine recount, as demonstrator gathered outside reacted angrily to the news, but “no violence” reported Fox News.

Republican Ron DeSantis and Democrat Andrew Gillum are separated by less than 0.5 percentage points in the governor’s race statewide, while Former governor Rick Scott and Democrat Bill Nelson are likewise separated by a thin margin, 0.25% statewide in the Senate race. NBC News reported first.

Four races in the district will be undergoing the recount as directed by the Canvassing Board.

Florida Elections Supervisor Threatens To Arrest Reporters For Covering Ballot Counting

Leave it to my home state of Florida to struggle with an election. Amid the myriad problems going on in the Sunshine State regarding the recent midterm elections, now the Palm Beach County elections supervisor is trying to ban media from covering the public ballot counting and threatening to arrest reporters who attempt to do so.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has been all over the issues going on in Florida, and tweeted Friday evening that “Palm Beach County elections supervisor bans media cameras from public ballot counting & threatens them with arrest.”

“How much more will it take to convince skeptics that what is happening in Palm Beach & #BrowardCounty is not a normal elections process?” Rubio asked.

The article he linked to, from the Palm Beach Post, explains that elections supervisor, Susan Bucher, broke from normal practice by banning cameras from recording the ballot review process, which Gov. Rick Scott – who is waiting to see if he was elected to the senate – accused of “incompetence.”

Bucher claimed reporters were illegally taking photos and videos of signatures on mail ballots, but the reporters said they were filming from a distance and would not show any signatures.

Police were brought in to keep journalists out and block their view.

NBCUniversal, Fox Television, and Scripps Media sued Bucher over her refusal to let the media cover the public event. Marissa Bagg, a reporter for NBC 6 Miami, posted the emergency petition on Twitter, writing that the media outlets were suing “Susan Bucher and the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board for refusing to allow us to record video while they review ballots in a public meeting.”

Bagg followed up her tweet by announcing a judge sided with the outlets.

“[C]ameras are now allowed to record inside room where provisional ballots are being reviewed by canvassing board in Palm Beach County,” she wrote.

Bucher tried to claim Scott’s criticism of her office’s process – and President Donald Trump’s involvement – were motivated by racism.

“It is very unfortunate that some of the highest elected officials in our country are trying to disrupt our democracy because they don’t like the demographics of our voters,” she said. “I would wish that they would allow us to continue to count the ballots. We’re just doing our job in accordance with law.”

Trump is often accused of threatening the freedom of the press, yet here is a county official actually calling for journalists to be arrested for doing their jobs.

FLASHBACK: Obama Admin’s History Of Editing Transcripts Linked To ISIS, Iran

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s decision to release a video of CNN’s Jim Acosta refusing to hand a microphone over to a White House staffer led many in the press to attack the Trump administration as trying to mislead the public — citing the fact that some of the frames in the video appear altered.

Yet despite the fact that the frame changes seem like an innocent file conversion error, the media’s attempt to paint the incident as some sort of unprecedented act of propaganda by the Trump administration forgets that the Obama administration edited an audio tape by the terrorist behind the Orlando nightclub shooting, leaving out his true motivations.

President Barack Obama’s Justice Department and FBI came under fire in June 2016 after it became clear that the Orlando gunman had pledged loyalty to the Islamic State (ISIS) and his religious beliefs in a call to the police before massacring 49 people in a gay nightclub. Inexplicably, many noticed, the official transcript had redacted these references.

The outrage was swift. Immediately, Republicans and members of the public accused the Obama administration of trying to hide the Omar Mateen’s true motivations for political purposes.

“Selectively editing this transcript is preposterous,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said in a statement. “We know the shooter was a radical Islamist extremist inspired by ISIS. WE also know he intentionally targeted the LGBT community. The administration should release the full, unredacted transcript so the public is clear-eyed about who did this, any why.”

The Justice Department then rereleased a complete transcript, excusing the previous omissions as an effort to stop the video from becoming “hateful propaganda.”

“As much of this information had been previously reported, we have re-issued the complete transcript to include these references in order to provide the highest level of transparency possible under the circumstances,” according to the DOJ and FBI’s statement.

But the entire incident raised serious questions about how the federal government can manipulate information it provides to the public. After all, this wasn’t the first time.

In May of the same year, the Obama administration was caught removing a line from a press briefing transcript about the Iran Deal. When spokesman Josh Earnest was asked if he could say that he had ever lied to the public about the Iran Deal, he replied “no.”

“No, Kevin,” Earnest told Fox News’s Kevin Corke.

Yet that line was absent from the official White House transcript.

The White House also admitted a staffer had deleted eight minutes from a 2013 video — once again in relation to the Iran Deal.

Despite these actions, the country somehow never faced a Democratic crisis.

Our institutions weren’t irreparably damaged and few reporters wondered if the president was spreading propaganda.

In other words, the press understood that letting the Obama admin get away with such actions was just part of their job.

FBI: Neo-Nazi Militia Trained by U.S. Military in Ukraine Now Training US White Supremacists

According to a recent FBI indictment, several American white supremacists were allegedly radicalized by and received training from Ukraine’s neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which receives funding from the current government of Ukraine as well as the U.S. government. The group has also received weapons from the Israeli government.

The indictment, filed in Los Angeles, California last month, asserts that four American members of the “Rise Above Movement” (RAM) — RAM co-founder Robert Rundo as well as Robert Boman, Tyler Laube and Aaron Eason — had “violently attacked and assaulted counter-protestors” at several white nationalist and white supremacist events throughout the U.S., including the violent “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville last year.

The named individuals are alleged to have “used the Internet to coordinate combat training in preparation for the events” and to have celebrated “their acts of violence in order to recruit members for future events.”

Court documents refer to RAM as a “white supremacy extremist group” while the group self-represents as “a combat-ready, militant group of a new nationalist white supremacy/identity movement.”

The recent indictment gives special attention to Rundo’s more recent activities, particularly his trip to Europe earlier this year where he traveled to Germany, Ukraine, and Italy “to meet with members of European white supremacy extremist groups.” The FBI became aware that one of the individuals with whom Rundo had met during this trip was Olena Semenyaka, a leader of the International Department for the National Corps, a Ukrainian political party that was formed as an offshoot of the Azov Battalion in 2016.

The affidavit detailing Rundo’s meeting with Semenyaka, signed by FBI agent Scott Bierwirth, states that “the Azov Battalion is a paramilitary unit of the Ukrainian National Guard which is known for its association with neo-Nazi ideology and use of Nazi symbolism.” It then adds that Azov Battalion “is believed to have participated in training and radicalizing United States-based white supremacy organizations,” such as RAM.

In other words, the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion is suspected by the U.S. government of both training and radicalizing violent white supremacist groups based in America. This is particularly troubling when one considers the fact that the U.S. government directly enabled the Azov Battalion’s growth and prominence. Now, it seems that those actions have translated into troubling domestic consequences for the United States.

Swalwell: GOP Won’t Get Democratic Votes to Fund Government if They Won’t Protect Mueller Probe

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Wolf,” Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) stated that Republicans won’t get Democratic votes to fund the government “if they’re not going to be willing to make sure that we protect the Mueller probe.” Swalwell added that protecting the Mueller probe is possible without a fight over the budget.

Swalwell said, “Whitaker was hired to be a hitman to take out the Mueller probe. It’s clear. He fired the guy that recused himself from the probe to put in someone who has already prejudged the investigation. … And so, we have a number of options. One, we’re going to have a funding the government vote coming up here in a couple weeks, and we’re going to insist that we protect the Mueller probe.”

Anchor Wolf Blitzer then asked Swalwell how Democrats will do that.

Swalwell answered, “Well, you know, the Republicans have been unable for the last two years to fund the government with their own votes. They run government, of course. They have the House. They have the Senate. They have the White House. But they can’t sort out themselves, so they’ve had to rely on Democratic votes. They’re not going to get Democratic votes if they’re not going to be willing to make sure that we protect the Mueller probe.”

He later added, “I think the opportunity is for Republicans to step up, finally, to hear what the voters wanted on Tuesday, and to just protect the Mueller probe. There’s bipartisan support in the country to do that. We can do that without having a budget fight.”

‘Artists and Intellectuals’ Proclaim Continent-wide European Republic to Replace Nation-States

Artists and intellectuals across Europe are calling for the founding of a continentwide republic to replace its many nation-states.

Activists planned to proclaim a ‘European Republic’ in dozens of cities at 4 p.m. (1500 GMT) Saturday, almost exactly 100 years after the end of World War I.

The event is being organized by a group calling itself the European Balcony Project. Its listed supporters include political scientists, philosophers and writers such as Austrian literature Nobel prize laureate Elfriede Jelinek.

A manifesto on the group’s website declares that “the sovereignty of states is hereby replaced by the sovereignty of citizens.”
