Parkland anomalies: David Hogg was at home during school shooting; interviewed girl before shooting

If one part of an event is a lie, the whole event is contrived.

According to the timeline of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida:

2:19 p.m.: An Uber driver dropped off Nikolas Cruz, 19, at the high school.

2:21 p.m.: Cruz entered Building 12, armed with an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle and several magazines. He activated a fire alarm and began shooting indiscriminately at students and teachers, killing 17 and wounding another 17. The shooting lasted 6 minutes.

2:28 p.m.: Cruz got out and ran in the direction of tennis courts before going south, according to the sheriff’s office. At 2:29 p.m., he crossed a field and ran west, blending in with fleeing students. He walked to a Walmart, where he purchased a soda, then to a McDonald’s, from which he departed on foot at 3:01 p.m.

At about 3:40 p.m., Cruz was stopped by police 2 miles from the school and arrested without incident.

In a CBS interview with David Hogg, the reporter made clear Hogg was in the school when the shooting began. He hid in a closet, from which he reported liveon the shooting, as well as interviewed other students.

Italian ruling party member backs Trump and says Italy shouldn’t sign UN migration pact

The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is set to be formally adopted at the UN Conference in Morocco on 10-11 December.

But, as President Trump said when speaking before the UN on 25 September, “Migration should not be governed by an international body unaccountable to our own citizens,” and Gianluca Savoini, a member of Italy’s Lega party, has said much the same on Friday.

He believes that Italy should not sign the UN Global Migration Pact that threatens the country’s sovereignty and the nation’s cultural and religious identity.

Several other EU countries, including Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia and Poland, have joined the United States and Hungary in not joining the future agreement.

The Marrakech declaration, as its called, would block any criticism of mass migration, ban political parties opposing it and make migration a human right so no country could ever oppose it.

Savoini, president of the Lombardia-Russia Cultural Association, told reporters on Friday: “I hope Italy will not sign this agreement, because, as US President [Donald] Trump says, we must defend our identity and our culture from the invasion of economic immigrants.

We must give a strong and clear signal to human traffickers that we will no longer accept this shameful trafficking. These are decisive years for our European nations. We want to remain Europeans and Christians”.

‘Go f*** yourself!’: Trump-bashing French TV host uses English to tell Donald ‘you’re not welcome’

The French don’t like speaking in foreign languages, but the host of a popular comedy show remembered his English lessons and pulled no punches in the telling US President Donald Trump that he wasn’t welcome in Paris.

The ‘Quotidien’ (Daily) program aired on TMC channel ahead of Trump’s arrival to France for the Saturday’s 100th anniversary since the armistice of World War I.

The host, Yann Barthes, began his show in French, but then switched to English so that the US President, whom he claimed could’ve been among the viewers, would understand him.

“Hey, hello there! Welcome to TMC Channel. My name is… Sean,” Barthes said and then introduced all of his co-hosts using fake Americanized names like “Ashley,” “Clarissa” and “Hot Bunny.”

“We all work for the porn industry here in France. You came to the right place because we like your style from the beginning,” he said, with the remark followed by a montage of exclamations and other unintelligible noises taken from the Trump’s public speeches.

After that, Barthes instructed Trump on how to find Fox News on TV at his Paris hotel. But he then suddenly switched his tone, saying: “Oh, and one last thing. Go and f*** yourself. You’re not welcome in this country.” The crowd in the studio erupted in laughter and applause.

Klukowski: The Legal Case for Matthew Whitaker’s Appointment as Acting Attorney General

It is hard to see how arguments that President Trump cannot appoint Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general must be incorrect. Otherwise the Constitution could deprive the nation of a functioning government every time a new party wins the presidency while the opposition party holds the Senate.

Some of those attacking Whitaker’s appointment of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) are left-wing partisans who hate President Trump and will say anything to embarrass him, but others are conservative lawyers who are making arguments in good faith, even if they are wrong.

It is always good to have lawyers argue both sides of an issue. With all the legal arguments being pressed about how Whitaker’s appointment is illegal, it seems only fair to offer constitutional arguments in support of his appointment.

The Appointments Clause of Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution provides that the president “shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall Appoint … [Principal] Officers of the United States.”

Often that means that when a top government position – called a “principal officer” – becomes vacant, it remains unfilled until the president nominates someone and then the U.S. Senate has time to vet, hold committee hearings, have floor debate, and confirm the nominee. The Constitution should allow for some degree of “play in the joints” to handle such situations.

Congress’s answer was the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 (FVRA), which provides several routes for someone to fulfill the duties of these important positions while the nomination and confirmation process plays out. First, 5 U.S.C. § 3345(1) allows the “first assistant” to a Senate-confirmed officer to serve as the acting officer on a temporary basis. Additionally, 5 U.S.C. § 3345(2) allows the president to name a person who has served in that department for at least 90 days at a pay level of GS-15 or higher – essentially a top-level career civil servant or non-Senate political appointee – to likewise serve as the acting officer.

Either way, that acting officer can serve for 210 days (seven months), and that time is extended if the president has nominated a permanent replacement but the Senate has not yet voted on the nominee.

Houthis: Al-Hudaydah Battle Shows Yemen Is ‘Graveyard’ For Saudi-led Forces

On November 9, a senior Houthi official, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said Yemen will be a “graveyard” for aggressors as Saudi-led coalition forces are developing their advance on the port city of al-Hudayah.

“Our people, with their full-scale defense of Hudaydah, once again have proved that Yemen will be a graveyard for the aggressors,” the official announced via Twitter.

Abdulsalam also claiemd that the “agressors” had failed to achieve any of their objectives due to the “exemplary steadfastness” of the Yemeni people. He also accused the Saudi-led coalition of cooperating with ISIS and al-Qaeda.

“The American-British-Israeli coalition, along with domestic and foreign mercenaries and terrorists groups, including Daesh [ISIS] and al-Qaeda … have failed to achieve any of their objectives after four years of aggression, due to the exemplary steadfastness of the nation,” he said.

Earlier on the same day, coalition forces made another attempt to develop their advance on al-Hudaydah. Pro-coalition sources claimed tha over 100 Houthi fighters had been killed and coalition forces had advanced towards the northern and the western flanks of the port city.

Pro-Houthi sources denied these claims. Furthermore, according to their version of the events, Saudi-backed forces had already lost over 500 fihters since the start of their new push on al-Hudaydah.

However, sources on the ground and videos released show that coalition forces had indeed achieved some gains. If the Houthis are not able to prevent the encirclement of al-Hudaydah by coalition forces, they will face a real threat of losing the battle of al-Hudaydah. On the other hand, coalition forces positions are overstretched east of the city and the Houthis may exploit this for counter-attacks.

On Saturday at noon Brenda Snipes finally turned in her county’s election results following several days of ballot manufacturing.

Governor Rick Scott went from a 80,000 vote lead on election night to only 12,562 vote lead on Saturday. The Broward and Palm Beach county elections officials had manufactured enough ballots to cut his lead in the Florida senate race by nearly 70,000 votes.

** On Saturday night Broward County Riot Police removed Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) from filming county officials secretly moving boxes in and out of Broward County election offices.

On Saturday Matt Gaetz called on Governor Rick Scott to remove corrupt Broward County elections supervisor Brenda Snipes after her attempt to steal the Florida Senate and governorship from Republicans.

The woman should have been fired she has an extensive record of corruption and criminal activity.

Matt Gaetz was the hero of Broward County this week despite representing northwest Florida.

Gaetz stood with the voters of Florida.
