Paradise Cove is basically private beachfront property for ultra-rich hippies, with a Restaurant/Beach Club on-site. Think movie people who have enough cash to burn, they can do whatever they want, but want to live simply, and away from the noise. They all buy super-expensive trailers, and ride bikes around and such, because they're eco-hippies.
I met a famous director there years ago for a meeting. It might be an expensive area… but I don't think its the site of anything nefarious. At least, I never got any indication of that.
And its on fire because ALL OF MALIBU is basically on fire right now. (It helps to know the geography a bit to know what's burning exactly). I was out there a lot in the past. If anything, considering the money and the political leanings of the inhabitants there, I can't see the Dems wanting that particular area to burn.
That said, if anything, Paradise Cove seems to attract the kind of people who want to get away from the Hollywood nonsense. I HIGHLY DOUBT it's related to anything to do with Paddock.
