i agree that there are weird things here but anons are making assumptions about fire that are wrong.
living trees will be the last to burn. they have water in them, which can absorb massive amounts of heat, and they have root system which diffuses that heat into ground. they are evolved to survive forest fires. nothing strange there.
heat (energy) follows path of least resistance. when a blast of heat enters an area it will be absorbed by metal first.
the total forces unleashed by a forest fire are actually greater than even an atomic bomb, just much more diffuse, so seeing damage that appears bomb like is not strange.
think about a camp fire where the wind blows it and it burns your face. now think about a few square miles of fire and a gust of wind blowing across that. the hot air blast is incredible. more energy than most bombs.
remember that there are gas tanks in cars, propane tanks in houses, etc, etc, once you have super heated air blasting around hot enough to ignite those things you get a bunch of secondary explosions.
remember folks. people are still ants compared to the full force of nature. forest fires, volcanoes, earth quakes all so powerful they make our biggest weapons look like firecrackers.
