one theory has microwaves heating metal, like aluminum in car engines, and melting them, and, I guess also, steel in bridges.

 

There are a lot of pictures of things burning or burnt that you don't expect to burn next to things that you'd expect to be burned and are not.

 

Microwave theory, metal spoon acts funny in a microwave and water does not.
