What Actually is Democrats Winning the "Popular Vote" ?

In every election, the Mockingbird MSM has constantly paraded this term as in : "Hillary won the Popular Vote" - meaning that more "people" voted for her than POTUS, and it's merely the fussy Electoral College that gave Trump his win, not "the people".

Then maps are trotted out showing California, Oregon, New York, NJ, Washington DC all BLUE. And since these states have a dense population, it's implied as Fact that "Millions MOAR people" voted for Dem candidates.

But Let's Look At The Numbers, shall we?

**US Census Population : 329,256,465 (July 1, 2018)

Persons under age 18 is 28.7%. = 94,496,605 non-voting age

https://www.census.gov/popclock/

*** Adult Population is 234,759,860 people of Voting Age.

So-called "BLUE" States:

*California Population = 39,000,000

*Oregon = 4,200,000

*New York = 8,550,000

*New Jersey = 9,030,000

*Washington DC = 703,608

*Hawaii = 1,430,000

TOTAL = 62,913,608 People living in "Blue States

There are other smaller "Blue" states like New Hampshire but you get the general idea.

So let's assume EVERY Person living in the "Blue" States voted Democrat, while the Red States voted Republican:

US Adults 234,759,860

minus Blue States 62,913,608

____

leaves 171,846,252 people in all other States.

Let's say only HALF of people in all other States Vote Red: 171,846,252 ÷ 2 = 85,923,126

*Blue States all voting Blue = 62,913,608 (63 million)

*1/2 of All Other States voting Red = 85,923,126 (86 million)

Could someone explain how, in so many elections, the Dems keep "Winning The Popular Vote" ???

At what point does it become Mathematically Impossible ?
