Agree. This kid's past is one huge red flag that was apparently ignored. It's all there: he was an orphan, his foster mother died last year, he had behavior issues serious enough that he was expelled from the high school and sent to "alternative school", his social media was full of disturbing photos and posts. Apparently the FBI had received credible threat warnings about him. There is plenty of evidence in this case to paint a picture of the need for better mental health monitoring and intervention of kids whose history or behavior indicate the potential for violence. Pointing this out shifts the narrative in a way that can actually help the root cause of these school shootings: kids with mental issues.
