The modern gender roles developed by feminism are not about fluidity and opening of potential between the masculine and feminine of every people. It was about the traditional female role keeping the benefits of that role and co-opting the benefits of the traditional male role. Meanwhile, the modern male is one that gets to keep the traditional responsibilities of the traditional male but also now inherits the responsibilities of the traditional female role. This extrapolates across identity politics.
Modern women lash out against this with the argument about feeling overburdened still, even more so…AND I AGREE. TOO MUCH ROLE BENEFIT and not enough role responsibility. Yes, technology allows for role flexibility and evolution, but yin and yang don't change.
