So D.E.W.s need to be funded and I was poking around trying to figure out where the money was hidden and what the contract lingo I need to use to find it - there just wasn't enough money showing up with the search terms I was using. However, I kept seeing universities in the search results which led to a 100,000 foot dig.
It becomes very obvious why universities are raising a crop of socialists and why self reliance skills are going out the window. I did NOT dig down on most of these - it was simply a matter of throwing in the name and looking at the total government award to that institution with the exception of University of California. Since the Regents got the largest contract, I looked at that (cap related). Also did a q&d on search term "regents of the university of", so that number shows up in the chart as well. Difficult to criticize the government that's handing out billions of dollars, innit?
Did look at one commercial contractor and there is a High Energy Laser Joint Technology office - I'll digging.
