CaliAnon checking in from middle of Woolsey Fire.
Real proud of Fire and LEO's, doing a hell of a job.
Possible Fuckery noted:
Spraying in the skies had been remarkably quiet for most of summer but started to pick up past few weeks again, especially week before fires started.
Use Spectrum(formerly Time Warner) for cable and Verizon for cell. Spectrum went out county wide Friday and Saturday, Verizon was intermittent and unreliable and usually only texts would get through, maybe, sometimes.
Switched to Verizon mobile hotspot for internet which was off and on and like using dial up when it was actually working.
Saturday night internet started working lightning fast out of nowhere. Went to check and sure enough Spectrum was back online, so I figured my laptop must have switched wifi back to Spectrum from Verizon, but it hadn't. Both Verizon and Spectrum came back online exactly at the same time. Cell and texting perfect again as was 4G LTE internet. How is that possible?
Twitter account @VCScanner who helped thousands of people during last year's Thomas Fire was at it again helping thousands during this fire monitoring all local scanners and relaying messages via Twitter. He/She received warning from Twitter of violations to their policies and was put on warning list for deactiivation.
Someone was fucking with comms to create even more chaos within an already chaotic environment.
Just some observations, would love to hear other's experience.
