best thing ive found is not telling yourself you arent going to drink but tell yourself you can have a drink after "insert something". LIke I can have a drink after I cook my dinner.. then once youve cooked your dinner add something else.. I can have a drink after I eat my dinner.. I can have a drink after I clean up from dinner.. etc..

 

Just a set an easy little goal of delaying the drink and keep adding more and more after each success. You can have a drink just keep delaying it further and further to the point you can have a drink on tuesdays and thursdays and the weekend.. then only the weekend and thursdays etc.
