WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. analysts say they have located more than half of an estimated 20 secret North Korean missile development sites.

The findings come as the Trump administration’s denuclearization talks with the North appear to have stalled. And they highlight the challenge the U.S. faces in ensuring that North Korea complies with any eventual agreement that covers its nuclear and missile programs.

The report released Monday by the Center for Strategic and International Studies draws on commercial satellite imagery. The authors say their analysis identifies 13 of the secret facilities used to produce missiles and related technology.

Although the sites are not launch facilities, the authors say they must be declared by North Korea and inspected in any credible, verifiable deal.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran’s armed forces will protect Iranian oil tankers against any threats, an Iranian military official said on Monday after the United States called the ships a “floating liability” and warned ports operators not to allow them to dock.

The United States resumed sanctions on Iran’s oil, shipping and banking industries last Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump pulled out of a 2015 international agreement curbing Iran’s nuclear programme in May.

“Iran’s armed forces…are prepared today as in the past to protect our fleet of oil tankers against any threats so that it can continue to use marine waterways,” said Rear-Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, a deputy commander of the regular armed forces, according to the semi-official news agency ISNA.

His comments appeared to be a response to U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook, who said last week that Iranian vessels would lose access to international insurance markets under the U.S. sanctions and so would be a risk to ports and canals which allowed them access….

Two organizations financed by billionaire liberal activist George Soros have threatened to take Florida Gov. Rick Scott to court if he doesn’t recuse himself from the state’s recount, which includes his own Senatorial election.

“Please issue a public statement that you will recuse yourself and remove yourself from any oversight of the 2018 election immediately or we will have no choice but to seek a formal emergency remedy from the courts,” reads a letter sent to Scott by the two groups, the League of Women Voters and Common Cause.

The letter claims Scott “intentionally politicized governance of the elections” when his used his position to ask the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate possible irregularities in ballot offices in Southern Florida…
